Designing an Audit Model for Wise Educational Leaders

The objective of this study was to design and conceptualize a comprehensive audit model for wise educational leaders through identifying the fundamental dimensions and components of wisdom-based educational leadership. This research was fundamental in purpose and qualitative in nature, employing a qualitative content analysis approach. The study population consisted of professors in the field of educational management, selected through purposive criterion-based sampling until theoretical saturation was achieved with 21 participants. Data were collected using in-depth unstructured interviews. Trustworthiness was ensured through credibility, transferability, dependability, and confirmability criteria. Data analysis was conducted using open, axial, and selective coding, integrating both deductive and inductive analytical procedures. Findings indicated that the audit model of wise educational leadership consists of nine core dimensions: multi-criteria decision-making, situational decision-making, ethical insight, educational branding, strategic planning, school capital development, empowerment, development of educational technology, and systems thinking development. Together, these dimensions constitute an integrated framework enabling comprehensive evaluation of leadership wisdom across ethical, organizational, managerial, and technological domains. The proposed model provides a systematic framework for assessing and enhancing the wisdom of educational leaders and can serve as a scientific foundation for improving leadership quality, professional development, and effectiveness within educational systems.
